Sentosa Express is a monorail line connecting to Sentosa island. This line was opened on 15 January 2007 and replaces the former Sentosa Monorail which has been used from 1982 to 2005. And this monorail line connects to VivoCity which is located near HarbourFront.

Features

This line features Platform Screen Doors at all stations to provide safety. And this is the first line in Singapore to use Half Height Platform Screen Doors to provide safety at all stations.

Rolling Stock

The rolling stock for Sentosa Express is Hitachi Monorail which is in two-car configuration and the passengers can fit to 148 passengers. There are 7 colours for this rolling stock: Green, Blue, Purple, Orange, Pink, Red and Yellow. Compare to old Sentosa Monorail, the train goes faster and got air conditioned trains compare to Old Monorail goes slow and no air conditioned which can cause passengers to feel uncomfortable. But at every stations, during peak hours, the staffs are being forced to all passengers to board that train instead of waiting for the next train.
