  • The ancient Babylon is one of the wonders of the old world with its hanging gardens. Probably like our city in Singapore where we have potted flowers all over the HDB floors. (Please don't hang out potted flowers, it can be a real danger to anyone who had it dropped upon their heads- one girl was killed by such a pot)

The likely site is now located in the city of Baghdad.

  • The old city of Babylon was taken by prophets to be a system of the world's system (cosmos, from the world came cosmospolitan, metropolitan etc), and therefore depicts a kind of world trends or fashion of the times (which is no friend of the godly, and basically anti-God). The actual Babylon was anti-religion for most time during its existence, until when Cyprus conquered it, and took over the control of the city, and granted religious freedom.
