[edit] Science and Belief
- [[1]] see forum
“In Science a healthy skepticism is a professional necessity, whereas in religion, having a belief without evidence is seen as virtue.” WROTE American writer Paul Davies and he added, that,
- “All science proceed on the assumption that nature is ordered in a rational and intelligent way.”
Illustration: One of my old teachers (from Braddell Rise Primary School) who for years had remembered that he was the first to win the Liverpool football pool (a jackpot) in Singapore (then, a British colony!) We used to meet and chat a bit, and one evening when he was strolling in Ang mo Kio area here on the little Island of 4 millions (people) skeptically asked me suddenly "If I ever seen God?" Knowing him for years and still respected him as an old teacher from my school, I can't held but accepted the query challenge to show "proofs" I simply asked him to go jump down from the eleven storey building, and he will be sure to see God too! The point is this: we all have a pair of eyes to see the great wonderful Universe outside us, and within us there is still a great expandable mind as big as the Universe, and we cannot see God? That question (re-phasing it right!) is we may lack understand to believe that God created all. These all is the way God, Himself manifest in the creation, however to show us Himself though it is humanly impossible to see Spirit, and God is the Great Wonderful Spirit too~? That's not the way He ordered the Universe to be! The see-ing issue is not as important as the "recognition" aspect. If you recognise the Great Universe and that great Soul within us all, then you mean you cannot relate to it as evidences and proof of God?
[edit] "Just as they are" is no answer in Science
- Why is.. that the sunshine never changes it's speed? Yet we know all things changes and dies..why?
- What's behind all the Sciences, is it mathematical correct to assume "just as they are!" for any or such a clever excuse to answer to what Sciences assumed that all things came to be "without a rational explanation" ?
[edit] mIRACLE in Science
What can hold up a large heavy brick weigh less than 2 grams itself? Insulated heat and electricity so efficiently as this picture below shows:
[edit] Science that assumes "all things came into being just as they are" is a belief too
Belief: all religions are beliefs, and all are metaphysical phenomena involving a certain assumed beliefs as dictated by Holy books. Customs, traditions or even modern assumption in philosophies such as evolution is a belief too. Pantheism is also a religion and philosophy as it got to do with a belief in God, although denying God as an absentee One, without any presence here in our cosmos system (universe) and non-personal.
- Christianity is a belief too, but its roots in history is deep and considered as a rational and reasonable belief on the historicity of the Biblical account of Jesus and the resurrection - many of the facts, events and antiquated personalities are both confirmed by archaeology and secular sources.
