The Wise and Foolish Builders

24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.

26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

28When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching,

29because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

Those are the words from the verses in the Bible. According to one of the writer (Matthew) he noted down what Jesus said and taught about the options we made for life. Life certainly contained many options or choices for us to choose.

Many simply chose to chase after the green dollar (American money) just like we here in Singapore choose to be greedy {and after the mad race of acquiring wealth). I meant Singapore is a wealthy nation in comparison with all the poorer neighboring Countries surrounding us. Money may not necessary be that bad it helps us to build great businesses and buildings. However, all the money in this world would not necessary bring us real happiness or contentment.

Just like those foolish men all around us, we simply just live to collect more things that has no meaning except for here and now on earth. We may have the constant nagging problem of knowing we all have to go ie - death. Death is a non respecter of persons- be we beggars or wealthy businessmen, all must die. So what then? All of us have that appointment with heaven

That answer is given by Jesus the greatest Guru of Life. Jesus taught his followers to prepare for the hereafter or eternity. It is just like the wise man who build his life on eternal lasting quality of life both here and now and as well as in preparation after death
