WHEN WE ASSUME ALL THINGS WORKS like according to Newtons laws of motion and gravity, what we see and observe is what we expect to get..however at the sub-atomic levels things do not works nor move as according with the classical laws of Physics..and hence when we see light travel, does it move in waves or parcels of photons? This level of understanding in Science at atomic level revolutionize all known Physical laws. Such new thinking come forth from New thinkers like Einstein and others in the 19 Century. They helped to change and bring concepts about understanding Physical movement (energy) at the level of proton, atom and sub-atomic particles such muons quarks etc..

We believe light traveled at very fast speed and we claimed that light travelled in the form of waves - just like <illustration of>when you drop a stone into a pond and see the circles moving away..or making waves on the still water..

However, there are many people who saw many unexplained phenomena in the behaviour of light with the wave theory:

Conclusion: The two parties involved saw many problems which remained unexplained until when arrived at some new theory to explain the motion of light by the theory of "dynamics" which really means "changes" in the original word from Greek. bESIDES, THE Scientist figure that light travel as "quanta" a parcel at a time..or Light quantum..

According to the beliefs of some well known scientists, lights travel as photon. In fact all the Universe can be broken down into simple photons. Each photon revolve around one another, until when it simply shoOt out into opposite direction as light does. Why is it that the eyes can focus on to see the picture with clarity?

• The scientist believe that light travel in particles so someone device a method to capture and measure the amount of light when it is shinning upom a surface with an LSP <(Light sensitive photo) electrical device. The two diagrams show how they did it. The top shows a presumed 100 per cent of light falling upon a glass and the electrical LSP show a reading of 94 per cent.
  

• The someone added filters of glass, with different thickness, and the results show a phenomena which was from the lowest 0 to 16 percent of light reflected and 84-100 per cent

falling and captured on the LSP. The thicker in the size does not mean more in percentage. In fact, at a certain thickness the amazing fact discovered was that the percent of light falling the LSP was 100 per cent! That is regardless of how much more or less thickness, just at "a certain thickness". That why the phenomena of focusing was designed to capture the picture with the entire image in the correct perspective!

• The figure below shows a curve in corresponding thickness of the filter. Therefore, they imaged that the thicker the filter was be the less the percent of light falling on the LSP but the results shows differently!
  

With such amazing results scientist re-think their theories and conclude that light must have travel in motion like making waves upon the surface of water by a stone. Therefore, they come up with the question <what or who> throw the stone? Yes, what exactly happen when light is emitted? It is not the how or why <vs> who did it<vs/>? That is a very difficult question so scientists have to dig far deep into the mysteries of the molecules, atoms, nucleus to find out the "hows" and whys? BEIJING, May 29 (Xinhuanet) -- New studies suggest that science-fiction portrayals of invisibility, such as Harry Potter's cloak, might be truly possible.

Inspiring the new research is a type of material known as "metamaterial." Metamaterials have special properties because they are built with internal structures small enough to interact with light or other radiation. This allows scientists to build devices that can do things, such as bending light, in unique ways.

Two separate teams of researchers have come up with theories on ways to use experimental metamaterials to cloak an object and hide it from visible light, infrared light, microwaves and perhaps even sonar probes.

"Imagine a situation where a medium guides light around a hole in it," Ulf Leonhardt, a physicist of Britain's University of St. Andrews, reported in the journal Science.

The light rays end up behind the object as if they had traveled in a straight line.

"Any object placed in the hole would be hidden from sight. The medium would create the ultimate optical illusion: invisibility," Leonhardt wrote. "Such devices may be possible. The method developed here can be also applied to escape detection by other electromagnetic waves or sound."

In this new theory, which is from that used on modern "stealth" bombers, which bounce radar off their surfaces so they cannot be seen, an object would be encased in a shell of metamaterials and they would create an illusion akin to a mirage, said David Schurig of Duke University in North Carolina, who worked on a second report, which also appears in the latest Science journal.

"Think of space as a woven cloth," Schurig said. "Imagine making a hole in the cloth by inserting a pointed object between the threads without tearing them."

The light, or microwaves, or radar would travel along the threads of the cloth, ending up behind the object without having touched it.

"You just need the right set of material properties and you can guide light," Schurig said.

But anyone making such a cloak would have to choose what form of radiation one wanted invisibility from, Schurig said. The invisibility would work both ways - a person hidden from the visible light spectrum would have to use infrared or sonar or microwaves to see out, he said. Enditem
