From SgWiki
Potong Pasir a place in Singapore literary<Malay> means "cutting sand", a place where the old river Kilang flows and along with the sandy river deposits. In the early 1960s when the construction bloom was on in its initial stage, people used to collect the sand, shifting it and sell it to lorry collectors for money. A Lorry load is < about 4 square yards> and one can get about $10 to 15 SING dollars for it!

One day I met him <Mr. Chiam> at the coffee shop above. I had to say "hi" and asked him for an answer to my question, and before long I heard him talked..a little about himself and that he was just a black sheep as far as Christianity goes for him.. so I left with my own idea that "What's done for Jesus counts!" as a challenge..: Alien talk 11:00, 23 February 2006 (SGT) At least I got a chance in a lifetime to speak with him face to face once! I often wish I had the same with LKY!
