He's the ceremonial head of a small family labeled as Singaporeans or any other nation like USA, Iran, Indonesia etc.. some presidents are like Kings and even more powerful than monarchs.. it's really depend on the constitution and powers endowed for that Office of President, in Spore, he's a figure head only!

He is the richest person on earth..Owner of the Temasek Holdings (GIC)

(just note Bill Gates has only 40 billions ( down 18 from last time when Forbes listed him the richest!?)

How much does the President own ..ie GIC with ?.??

(NB. The fact that the President owned the Sovereign wealth is only evident when the local Newsmedia reveals it,(Since..) so far the garmen had it kept secret as long as the question never arise! Though we ((Sgwiki.com)) never claimed anything, the silent populace ppl is never so silent in their POVs..hehehe, it would be alright to some ppl esp. with the the PM and his party who are in charge as well as any politicians whoever hold that power has that Right to spent it the way they saw fit, including digging in to make some goodies to applease the public, and ease their social conscience whatever)
