I am grateful to Jason for making me an administrator. This is enabling me to delete a lot of pages that are either obvious spam or simply meaningless nonsense.

My vision for SGWiki is that it should provide added value that is Singapore-specific. There is no point in attempting to compete with Wikipedia for an article about every subject under the sun.

Articles that are about Singapore topics can provide more detailed information than would be accepted in Wikipedia, for instance about the local transport (buses and MRT trains), or Singapore schools.

I propose that, in many cases, articles on more general subjects could just give a summary, with a link to a reliable source (which could be Wikipedia in many cases), then a section covering aspects of the topic that are particularly relevant to Singapore.
