Alstom Metropolis C751C are the second generation of trains running on the North East Line. These trains were manufactured from 2014 to 2015 by Alstom Transport under the Contract 751C.

History

Alstom Transport was awarded Contract 751C in 2012 at a cost of $234.9 million for the construction of 108 passenger cars.[1]

Fleet Numbering

The car numbers of the trains range from 7x051 to 7x086, where x depends on the carriage type.

  • The first digit identifies the position of the car from the closest end of the train; where ‘1’ represents first car, ‘2’ represents second car and ‘3’ represents third car.
    • (Example) Passenger Vehicle 7085/7086 would consist of 6 cars with serial number 71085, 72085, 73085, 73086, 72086 and 71086 respectively.
  • Depending on the direction of travel, the sequence may be reversed.
