Introduction

In conjunction with the opening of the Bukit Panjang LRT line, the existing bus service network in Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Panjang was rationalised to reduce route duplication and to complement the LRT system from 26 December 1999 onwards.

Peak-hour Bus Parallel Service BPS1 was introduced on 25 October 2011 to elevate peak hour crowding on the Bukit Panjang LRT network by providing an alternative travel route along the LRT line.
