Ho See Beng was a founder and first president of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC). He was a People's Action Party MP from 1963 to 1984, representing Bras Basah and later, Khe Bong, a ward with many one-room HDB flats. His youngest daughter Ho Geok Choo is now the MP of West Coast GRC.
