Land Transport Authority SMRT
  • Train services between Tanjong Rhu and Bayshore stations (Thomson–East Coast Line Stage 4) will begin on Sunday, 23 June 2024. Free rides are available between those stations on Friday, 21 June 2024. Please refer here for more information.

Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) will be a cross-border rapid transit system that would connect Woodlands, Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia and is expected to begin service in 2026.[1] It will be the first line in Singapore to use both the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) denotation, with the MRT for Singapore and the LRT for Malaysia.

Rolling stock

The rolling stock will be similar to the system used in Ampang LRT Line, Malaysia and Jurong Region Line, Singapore. These trains will operate from Bukit Chagar Depot near Bukit Chagar station.
