Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CRRC Qingdao Sifang CT251 will be the only type of trains running on the Thomson–East Coast Line. These trains are currently manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CRRC Qingdao Sifang under the Contract T251.

History

Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CRRC Qingdao Sifang was awarded Contract T251 in 2014 at a cost of $749.8 million for the construction of 364 passenger cars.[1]
