TODAY column

On 30 June 2006, Lee wrote an article, titled "S'poreans are fed, up with progress!", for his weekly opinion column in the newspaper TODAY about the rising costs of living in Singapore. Three days later, on 3 July, an official from the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA) published a reply in the same newspaper calling Lee a "partisan player" whose views 'distort the truth'. On July 6, the newspaper suspended his column. In protest, Mr. Miyagi subsequently resigned from his own column also in TODAY.

Lee was educated in Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) and Hwa Chong Junior College.

In an interview with 8 Days, Lee said his nickname was derived from his secondary school days, where his catchphrase was "so how, brown cow?".

Lee is married and has 3 children - Faith (who suffers from autism), Isaac, and Joy. He is a Christian.

Lee is also keen on bicycles. He owns 6 bicycles, and cycles to work daily.
