!	Train services between Tanjong Rhu and Bayshore stations (Thomson–East Coast Line Stage 4) will begin on Sunday, 23 June 2024. Free rides are available between those stations on Friday, 21 June 2024. Please refer here for more information. To facilitate testing on new trains, from 22 March 2024 to 30 June 2024, train service on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end earlier at 10.30pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. 2010 incident[edit]

On 29 November 2010, a Chinese man in his 40s was knocked by an incoming train at about 8.15pm, was found lying on the tracks below the last carriage and was pronounced dead by SCDF medics. Train services were disrupted for about 1 hour and were resumed at 9.15pm.^[2]
