  • Train services between Tanjong Rhu and Bayshore stations (Thomson–East Coast Line Stage 4) will begin on Sunday, 23 June 2024. Free rides are available between those stations on Friday, 21 June 2024. Please refer here for more information.

Toa Payoh (NS19) is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North–South Line.

History

This station was the first MRT station in Singapore to be completed, topping out on 5 August 1985, making it the first underground station in the world to be fitted with platform screen doors. Today, the concourse area bears the inauguration plate of Singapore's MRT system.
