==Updates on Service 7A / 7B==
Hey man,
Regarding Service 7, 7A & 7B right, I think you should count those buses that do the full trips (ie. eg, from Bedok to Clementi / Clementi to Bedok) as perm Sv 7
Whereas for those buses that are on 7A / 7B halfway till Dhoby area before changing to do a downroute / half-trip back as a "Sv 7", they should be counted as perm Sv 7A / 7B only?
But i do think that it might be possible that the 7A / 7B fleet size isn't fixed? Because I think their main purpose of introducing 7A & 7B, is to counter the cases where Orchard Road jams up damn badly, or any other areas jams badly before Sv 7 hits Orchard (regardless of from Bedok or Clementi). In which case, the OCC might choose to cut the supposedly full-trip the Sv 7 BC is on, and ask him to only fulfil one half (which would be 7A / 7B) before u-turning back to the initial terminal to save the frequency? So i can't really give you an exact number yet for the duties it seems.. need to KIV.
But yeah, maybe it's better if we observe from like the sections where 7A / 7B operates before they loop back, which would eliminate any extra Sv 7 buses that pop-up due to the downroutes from doing Sv 7A / 7B earlier.
As for the permers, Sv 7A definitely uses random buses for now (except for 5838E it seems). It's like a mix-and-mash of BN SP Wrights, buses from Sv 19 (i've no idea why they keep plucking the Sv 19 Wrights for example), and A95s from BNDEP (new & old) so far for Sv 7A.
Whereas for Sv 7B, it's mostly the bulk of the new A95s that BBDEP received in the most recent batch.
But in summary, I think we still need to KIV the fleet size and the developments for Sv 7A & 7B. And given that I think that page is locked out as well, then maybe there's really no rush but observe first. Because as you know, BNDEP is fond of doing some rotational duties for no reason as well recently. So yeaps, just KIV first? But i hope my response does help clarify a little?
