'''Yuying Secondary School''' (育英中学) is a government-aided co-educational secondary school. It was founded by the Hainanese Community in 1910 as a Chinese-medium high school. It is one of the oldest schools in Singapore.

Initially, it was known as Yock Eng School (育英学校). In 1947 it was renamed Yock Eng High School (育英中校). Finally, in 1985, its name was changed to Yuying Secondary.
 
The current Principal is Mr Lo Chee Lin and the Vice-Principals are Miss Rebekah Tan Mei Chang and Mrs Tham Hwee Peng .
 
Yuying is steeped in Chinese history, culture and tradition. The school emphasizes the values of 'Integrity, Resilience, Respect and Responsibility' (IR3) and strongly believes in nurturing the potential of every child, hence the motto 'Together Achieve Personal Excellence'. Besides achieving value addedness in the GCE 'O' level stream, the school has also garnered Sustained Achievement Awards for Uniformed Groups, Aesthetics & Sports. The school was also awarded the Development Award for both Character Development and National Education in 2010. Pupils in the Express Stream with overall achievement of 75% and above are eligible for the School Management Committee (SMC) Scholarships ($500) each year.
