Joseph Prince, the son of a Sikh priest of Indian origin and a Chinese mother, spent his primary school years in Perak, Malaysia. Prince does not have a university degree; he finished his A-Levels and subsequently entered the workforce after serving his national service.
Prince changed his birth name to Joseph Prince during his previous occupation as an IT consultant. His birth name has never been revealed, but it is widely speculated that he was known as Xenonamanda Jegahusiee Singh.
