Johor Bahru, sometimes spelled Johore Bahru, is the capital of the State of Johore in peninsular Malaysia. It stands at the northern end of the Causeway that links Singapore to Malaysia.
Colloquially known both to Singaporeans and to Malaysians as JB, it is a popular place for Singaporeans to visit or shop for items that are impossible or more expensive in Singapore itself.
