This is just what I think in a scenario where standardisation of fleet classification has to take place, in which however I don't think standardisation across all model pages is possible and each model has a different scenario in specifications and batch registrations. I hope this opinion can help convey what I mean.

Regarding to the previous debate on renaming, please give your opinion on what constitute as a variant below.

I may not be able to convey my thoughts in a better way, but I will do my best to pen down my opinion here.


In my perspective, a variant is a bus that has many distinct characteristics from another bus under the same bus model. This applies to a demonstrator as well.


Voicing out my second debate.

In the previous renaming debate, I have provided reasons on why the Scania K230UB batches should still be exceptionally classified by Euro emissions. However, I also stated my objections on the ND323F A95/NL323F A22 renaming solely and mainly because of the specifications of SG2017C. Other users have also pointed out the concern about SG2017C's classification as well.

With reference to admin Supernutorcrazy's puzzlement with the example of the A22, I would have agreed that A22 batches can be classified by Euro emissions as there is no A22 with MAN Lion City Hybrid bodywork having Euro VI emissions.

If admin Supernutorcrazy has in mind that standardisation needs to take place, I will also like to provide my school of thought with reference to admin SMB315C's opinion during the 1st round of discussion.
