Our Community Talk

Today is Sunday, another day in our lives.

The Bible has a special prayer for us all.

That simple prayer has been put in most believers memory since the day when Jesus taught his early disciples.

Here is it as from the Gospel account:

  • Our Father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. Amen.

Our prayer meditations

  • When our Lord Jesus was showing by word and personal example the reality of "Our heavenly Father" he did it with all seriousness with many evidences as in the displaying of healing the sick, delivering many from demonic possessions, feeding the hundreds of people at one time with just a few small loaves of bread and fishes. It was as real as to the times and understanding of all the people. So when he taught them to pray, the prayer was in context with the needs of the times.
  • Today we living in the 21st Century are really no different from those who lived 2000 years ago. Yes technology and improvements in health standards have lighten somewhat our lives, and made it more comfortable, yet the bottom line needs of any living person is hardly change as far as we people and those who preceded before us 2000 years ago.
  • Our basic needs for food, water, air and shelter is still the bottom line necessities of our daily needs. Let me show you an illustrations from looking at those scientific people.

After spending billions of tax payers' money those clever people who are always curious about alien life and had been chasing after it all their lives and still find little evidences of life in other planets or faraway distant stars. Can anyone give us any proofs of any life other than what we see here on earth? The answer is "no"

Yet still amazing, they somehow had disregard that our planet earth is a paradise for the only life form where human beings can live and procreate as God intended since creation.
Here on planet earth is the only place where there is an abundance of life such as seen by the forests timing with all kind of insects like the beautiful butterflies, and small crawling animals like the so many colorful lizards, and those that living in the trees and the bigger animals on the land.
Amazing, isn't it? Yet those who seeking meaning in the stars and foreign alien life forms on other distant worlds seem to overlook out little forests full of life!
  • Still more when we look at the abundance of life in the millions of small lakes, rivers, streams and the even in the deepest part of the Oceans we still find an abundance of life.
Yet our clever scientists seem to be so possessed to look further, had obviously forgotten to see what all around us.
  • Yes, let praise God and give thanks to His amazing world He created for all lives and for us - pitiful small little people who forgotten Him and overlooked His handiwork here on planet earth:

Prayer: Yes, our heavenly Father, as we approach You in the spirit of our heart, we want to thank you for our planet earth where You made it so nice and comfortable for us and all the creatures to live. Help me to be grateful and give me a thankful heart to look to You always as our heavenly Father as our Lord and teacher Jesus had taught us, Amen (so it be..)
