SMRT Trains
  • From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. Riviera (CP3/PE4) is a Light Rail Transit (LRT) station on the Punggol LRT and a future Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Cross Island Line[1].

History

29 January 2005 Station officially opened

2020 track cracks

On 9 January 2020, at around 2.15pm, a crack was spotted on one of the elevated concrete slabs — known as plinths — on which the train run on. The “isolated” crack was located between Riviera and Coral Edge stations. One platform has been closed early from 9pm to 4am for urgent maintenance, while operations continue as trains run on other platforms.[2]
