Originally the campuses are located at Dover, Balestier, Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Batok and Clementi. Most of them have been demolished, however the ITE Headquarters was shifted to ITE College Central. The ITE at Bukit Batok became a SHATEC campus.
New campus at Choa Chu Kang
In July 2010, the new 9.54-hectare mega-campus opened, operating four schools. At this time, several of the network campuses were closed and the courses were transferred to the campus. It was officially opened on 18 April 2011 by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.[1]
2015 Slashing
On 10 March, Muhammad Zuhairie, 17, retrieved a bread knife from his locker intending to scare the 18-year-old victim, but decided to slash the victim when the victim “tested his limits”. They crossed swords three days before the attack. Zuhairie had called the Ahmad Nurthaqif's girlfriend “baby” when the slasher spotted the couple walking around Clarke Quay on Mar 7. When the slasher spotted Ahmad Nurthqif on campus three days later on Mar 10, he again confronted the victim, who was there to meet his girlfriend, a student there. After retrieving the bread knife, Zuhairie attacked Nurthaqif from behind, swinging the knife repeatedly at the victim’s face in front of more than 50 onlookers. Videos of the attack were posted on social media.
Zuhairie fled after the attack, but was arrested later that day at his grandmother’s Ang Mo Kio flat. Nurthaqif was taken to National University Hospital, where he was found to have suffered from fractures of the left forearm and two fingers, and was given three months’ medical leave.
Zuhairie was sentenced to 18 months' jail and six strokes of the cane.[2]
