Hillgrove Secondary School (abbr. HGSS) is a government co-educational secondary school at 10 Bukit Batok Street 2 in Bukit Batok New Town, Singapore. It was established in 2001.

The current Principal is Mrs Helen Tan. The Vice-Principal is Mr Chan Huan Jian Malvin.

The nearest MRT stations are Bukit Batok and Bukit Gombak.

Achievements[edit]

Academic[edit]

The school was awarded MOE Academic Value-added Silver Award for the performance of both Sec 4 Express and Sec 5 Normal Academic pupils at 2005 GCE O Level Examination. The third cohort of pupils continued to produce value-added results in GCE 'N' and 'O' Level exams. For Sec 4 Normal Academic, 89.6% of pupils are promoted to Sec 5N. For Sec 4 Express, 98.8% passes with 3'O', 82.6% passes with 5 'O', 40.1% passes with 7 'O'. For Sec 5 NA, 88.8% passes with 3 'O' and 53.9% with 5 'O'.

Volleyball - 1st Runner-up for C Div at West Zone Inter-school Volleyball Championships 2007.

The school motto is "United We Soar".

Crest[edit]

The crest contains a grove consists of several tree trunks interlinking to signify the active interaction between Hillgrove teachers and students, and also the moral and spiritual support students draw from one another. The slope at base of the trunks indicates the hill in which the trees are firmly rooted. The trees share one foliage, which signifies the common goal and unity that educators and students alike share.
