Bishan Park Secondary School (BPSS/BPS) was a government-aided co-educational secondary school located in Bishan. The school has merged into Peirce Secondary School in 2018.

History

Built at a cost of $17.3 million, Bishan Park Secondary was founded in 1993 at 2 Sin Min Walk. It had a career resource centre equipped with 12 computers, two huge television sets and a library of CD-ROMs on polytechnic education, job-interviewing skills and assessment tests that match personalities to jobs. This centre was shared with 40 other secondary school nearby. Students from Peirce Secondary School attended lessons at Bishan Park Secondary School for a year (1994-1995) while waiting for their new school to be completed near Sin Min Walk.

The Ministry of Education announced Bishan Park Secondary School as one of the schools to be affected by the merger programme. As a result, it merged by Peirce Secondary School in 2018.

The Student Council

The student council members are selected by requesting to join and being accepted the teachers in charge or the teacher requesting students to join. Student Council members must wear their school ties and student council badge everyday. They have morning meetings every Monday before school starts in the parade square except for exam days however, the 14th EXCO president changed this so morning meetings happens only if there are events coming up or for student council bonding activities.
