School Crest

The two b's emphasise the motto 'Be Our Best', the gold representing the reward of having achieved our best, the red representing the community that has made this effort. The hill (or Bukit) represents the effort that must come before achievement, as well as the aspiration behind being 'Our Best'.

School Motto

"BE OUR BEST" is the school motto that places beliefs in the nurturing of quality life in individuals, while recognising that it takes various directions depending on the individual's makeup.

School Philosophy

We believe every child is unique and has innate abilities to be developed.

School Vision

Our vision for the school is that it grows to be a premier school we can be proud of, and an icon in the community identified as an institution that provides quality education for our young.

School Mission

We nurture our pupils to be individuals who have integrity, are diligent, resilient and discerning; who possess an "abundance mentality", are proud of the school and have a sense of belonging to school, community and nation.

Student's Creed

We pursue total education, building strength of mind and spirit, are self disciplined and responsible, seek knowledge and excellence in learning, are loyal to friends, teachers, school and nation, and uphold the school motto to " Be Our Best".

School Song

B B S S, we pledge our best from the special and the ordinary.
Our talents differ but they don't really matter
Cause we need a pool of talents in school-

Chorus
We will always be the best we can be
Just count it on me
We will always be the best we can be
Just count it on me

Our talents put together helping one another
We are a school both strong and free
Together in peace and harmony.
Together in peace and harmony.

Special Programmes

Habits of Mind (HOM)

Habits of Mind (HOM) enable students to behave intelligently when they don't know the answer or when they are faced with challenging situations. HOM will equip our students holistically for the challenges of the 21st century. It helps to develop a thirst for questioning and searching, within and outside the classroom. In particular, HOM inculcates good learning habits and thinking dispositions so that our students can become self-directed, life-long learners.

Individual Self-Paced Learning (ISPL)

The school started the ISPL programme (an adapted version by Dr J Lloyd Trump) with Sec 3 Exp students in 2004 and extended to Sec 3 and 4 Exp students in 2005 and 2006. The intent is to instill in students the importance and need to be independent learner and to allow for less teaching and more learning. Students have to take ownership of their own learning to view learning as an active process, to self-manage and self-monitor.

Malay Special Programme (MSP)

Malay Special Programme(MSP) MSP is one of the Ministry of Education's 3rd language programme. It used to be a Programme that is offered only to the top 30% of the PSLE cohort but has been expanded to anyone with the interest and inclination to do so beginning year 2006.
