The meaning of the word Pugilism refers to the art or practice of fighting with the fists (boxing ) [1], which is widely used to refer the Chinese Martial Arts Culture.
In general, the pugilism community are mainly build up by Clans, Association or Organisation with the practise of, but not limited to, Wushu, Dragon Dance and Lion Dance. The earliest organisation in Singapore can be trace back to the year 1920.
This category will focus specifically on the history and development on local pugilism movements and the various pugilistic community in Singapore.
