== Application for declaration to classify 24 Citaros as Batch 2 instead of Batch 3. ==
===Rail Wiki Expansion===

Greetings.
Hi Supernutorcrazy,

Perhaps you may have forgotten, we once had a debate as to whether SBS Transit's Citaro Batch 2 have 24 extra buses back in November 2015 by exercising its "option". Now that all the Euro V Citaros from LTA and SBST side have been completed (culminating in a total number of 1,104 Citaros for these batches), I am led to the inference that what you said is the correct position. However, last year, another fellow user had suggested that SBS6819S-SBS6821J and SBS6509L-SBS6529D (total 24 buses) were under Batch 3 based on inference from chassis numbers, and successfully obtained leave from an administrator to reflect it as the current position. I do not doubt and had not previously suggested that his position is wrong, but at this stage I am seeking leave from you to overrule that position and shift the said 24 buses back to Batch 2, thus reflecting the correct position as follows:
Is it OK to add info of train deployments (including TRNs and their sequences), acronyms legend and train fleet info (similar to what's done for buses)?
Data can be obtained from here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PMuCeF31etWzPv_U42qMaFoHvYwDpnkSWHgjvuuTxdg/edit
All data collated in the above document are based on spottings and observations from fellow enthusiasts.

Batch 2: 474 buses (SBS6342A-SBS6549X, SBS6600E-SBS6865H)
I hope you will support us to make these valuable information more accessible to all. Thank you.
Batch 3: 330 buses* (SBS2000M-SBS2004C, SBS6550R-SBS6599B, SBS6866E-SBS6893B, SG1000G-SG1071B, SG1080A-SG1245S, SG1691L-SG1699R)
*The issue of whether to create separate pages for SBST and LTA batches is not before us currently, though it may be helpful to discuss about it as well.

Thank you.

== Sync of Batch 2 Citaro's Former Deployments Data ==
Was this inspired from the elevator diagrams that appear at certain stations eg. Somerset, Chinatown? I will try and see whether I have the skill to do a replication.

Hi there,
How would this turn out if it were a transfer station?

I would like to highlight that, while we had all agreed on the classification of the Batch 2 Citaros, we have not actually synced the Former Deployments data for the particular bunch of Citaros (SBS6509L - SBS6529D)?
== Map progress /Alternative Travel Method Upgrades==

The Former Deployments data for that particular bunch of Batch 2 Citaros, are still listed in the Former Deployments page for the Batch 3 Citaros.
In the meantime, once the TEL4 updates are done, I will be doing massive work on the locality maps after figuring out everything with the Bayfront map as the new standard that I finished up on. 1 month tearing down drafts, revisiting the colour palletes, redoing everything from scratch feels so worth it after delivering a promising result.

Likewise, the Former Deployments page of the Batch 2 Citaro have not included in that bunch too yet. (and Former Deployments data = both the SBST section & GA section for the SBS6509L - SBS6529D bunch)
A question that still sticks to my mind is the definition of walking distance by the authorities. When I looked at each sample map and measured the distance to the boundary of the 10 min circle, they defined it as 450m-600m, with 500m being the most common out of most new locality maps.

So, would like to seek some clarification on what to do / where to go about with this? Thanks & let me know!
Do we still proceed with our definition of 1 min=80m for walking?

Regards,
Thanks and Regards

==Feedback regarding New users & Locking of pages==
=== Reply on Walking ===
Hi Supernutorcrazy.

I believe that it would be better if the new users don't have to add their legitimate email used to create their account.
Noted explanation. We will proceed with 1minute = 80 metres. I have also discovered that besides Google Maps, you can also use the ruler function of OneMap to help map out the easiest walking paths.

Plus we should only lock those pages where necessary. I have noticed that there are a number of users who want to edit certain pages, but those pages are admin protected and they can't be bothered to voice out to any of the admins, resulting the page to be outdated.
I am thinking of a concept of walking such that it can be in this format

I would truly appreciate your kind understanding.
Total: xxx m
1. Walk
2. Turn
3. Keep walking
If the walking instructions are too much, especially between stations, then we can continue putting the most common walking paths the form of W2T diagrams. However, where necessary, might resort to put the station locality map in the walking instructions since the nearby stations are reflected OR when barrier free access requirements are not fulfilled. Barrier free access is still needed, as per your reminder 2 years ago. Raffles Place diagram was only half useful.

Irregardless of the choice we make, I will continue to make custom W2T/walking instruction maps, especially for Shenton Way's and Tanjong Rhu's part, which in turn can do away lengthy sentences into short phrases.

Edit: Just as I was about to write a complaint on the unavailability of the Bugis - Jalan Besar walking map, I keyed in the station codes and they actually put it up recently without me saying a word. But their diagram passes through closed off areas on NSC construction...

Hi.

I will leave the fleet size as 4 for now. As far as I know they only have 4 buses scheduled with 5 AP duties every day.

I thank you for the message. Just to put it on record, I have no issues with the revert, which I find completely justified (as you've laid out on the false impression part), and I would've removed/changed the message as well. However, the message that Alphabetlorefan1 said "bus 858 DDs are cameo" was an erroneous one, as they are not cameos, which you've also recognized that there are downroute slots. Hence I felt there was a need to correct the user so as to prevent any misunderstandings in the future.

Rail Wiki Expansion[edit]

Hi Supernutorcrazy,

Is it OK to add info of train deployments (including TRNs and their sequences), acronyms legend and train fleet info (similar to what's done for buses)?
Data can be obtained from here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PMuCeF31etWzPv_U42qMaFoHvYwDpnkSWHgjvuuTxdg/edit
All data collated in the above document are based on spottings and observations from fellow enthusiasts.

I hope you will support us to make these valuable information more accessible to all. Thank you.

Station layout[edit]

Looks like a perfect concept! Very simple and straight to the point with just the icons in place.

Was this inspired from the elevator diagrams that appear at certain stations eg. Somerset, Chinatown? I will try and see whether I have the skill to do a replication.

How would this turn out if it were a transfer station?

Map progress /Alternative Travel Method Upgrades[edit]

In the meantime, once the TEL4 updates are done, I will be doing massive work on the locality maps after figuring out everything with the Bayfront map as the new standard that I finished up on. 1 month tearing down drafts, revisiting the colour palletes, redoing everything from scratch feels so worth it after delivering a promising result.
