Hey man,
===Rail Wiki Expansion===

I read your reply on my talk page. After reading the notice again + your reasons, I do agree with your reasons for taking out his edits (to prevent false info). But so, the main issue is with not stating his legitimate email by appealing while registering his account in time?

A question that still sticks to my mind is the definition of walking distance by the authorities. When I looked at each sample map and measured the distance to the boundary of the 10 min circle, they defined  it as 450m-600m, with 500m being the most common out of most new locality maps.

Do we still proceed with our definition of 1 min=80m for walking?

Hi Supernutorcrazy,
Thanks and Regards

=== Reply on Walking ===

Noted explanation. We will proceed with 1minute = 80 metres. I have also discovered that besides Google Maps, you can also use the ruler function of OneMap to help map out the easiest walking paths.

I am writing this to ask whether I should include Niteowl & NightRider Service into the pages. As these services do not operate during normal train service hours, I think that we should not include them into the pages as it has little or no purpose
I am thinking of a concept of walking such that it can be in this format

== Kembagan MRT/bs 83059 clarification ==
If the walking instructions are too much, especially between stations, then we can continue putting the most common walking paths the form of W2T diagrams. However, where necessary, might resort to put the station locality map in the walking instructions since the nearby stations are reflected OR when barrier free access requirements are not fulfilled. Barrier free access is still needed, as per your reminder 2 years ago. Raffles Place diagram was only half useful.

Hi Supernutorcrazy,
Irregardless of the choice we make, I will continue to make custom W2T/walking instruction maps, especially for Shenton Way's and Tanjong Rhu's part, which in turn can do away lengthy sentences into short phrases.

I would like to clarify on the issue of bus stop 83059(Mjd Kassid), located along Changi Rd. Although it is a far distance away from Kembagan MRT Station, can this be marked as an exemption and be called as an MRT bus stop?
Edit: Just as I was about to write a complaint on the unavailability of the Bugis - Jalan Besar walking map, I keyed in the station codes and they actually put it up recently without me saying a word. But their diagram passes through closed off areas on NSC construction...

Changi Rd(westbound) and Sims Ave East(eastbound) are one-way roads, in which it will not make sense to only specify the alternate bus services along Sims Ave East, and may put people into confusion in implying that there are no alternate westbound bus services. Furthermore, we put into consideration that Mjd Kassid bus stop is the calling point of MRT shuttle 7 towards Paya Lebar, and the bus stop having the Kembagan station name marked right below the stop name. Therefore, in my opinion, 83059 should be a MRT bus stop.

Hi.

This issue came to my mind while I am doing a draft on Bedok Reservoir station alternate bus services in my user page.
I will leave the fleet size as 4 for now. As far as I know they only have 4 buses scheduled with 5 AP duties every day.

If this can be possible, will you also mind looking into the following stop on Geylang Rd, on whether this should be an exemption and be considered an MRT bus stop?

City Plaza(82019) @Paya Lebar

I wish to clarify in case there may be possible false edits that I may not realise, thus writing this.
I thank you for the message. Just to put it on record, I have no issues with the revert, which I find completely justified (as you've laid out on the false impression part), and I would've removed/changed the message as well. However, the message that Alphabetlorefan1 said "bus 858 DDs are cameo" was an erroneous one, as they are not cameos, which you've also recognized that there are downroute slots. Hence I felt there was a need to correct the user so as to prevent any misunderstandings in the future.

I apologize should I have anything that I have wrote inappropriately or by mistake/fault, and I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.

Hi Supernutorcrazy,

Data can be obtained from here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PMuCeF31etWzPv_U42qMaFoHvYwDpnkSWHgjvuuTxdg/edit
All data collated in the above document are based on spottings and observations from fellow enthusiasts.

Station layout[edit]

Looks like a perfect concept! Very simple and straight to the point with just the icons in place.

Was this inspired from the elevator diagrams that appear at certain stations eg. Somerset, Chinatown? I will try and see whether I have the skill to do a replication.

How would this turn out if it were a transfer station?

Map progress /Alternative Travel Method Upgrades[edit]

In the meantime, once the TEL4 updates are done, I will be doing massive work on the locality maps after figuring out everything with the Bayfront map as the new standard that I finished up on. 1 month tearing down drafts, revisiting the colour palletes, redoing everything from scratch feels so worth it after delivering a promising result.

A question that still sticks to my mind is the definition of walking distance by the authorities. When I looked at each sample map and measured the distance to the boundary of the 10 min circle, they defined it as 450m-600m, with 500m being the most common out of most new locality maps.
