Re: Exits
A round up to the nearest 5 minutes is a good gauge, especially when there are traffic conditions/walking speed that may give variations. I would agree to that.
Station layout
However, for rail transfer between lines, I believe there is more room to study about it. Because I think what we have never looked into is the walking distance between the lines, as well as how different stations sync their train arrivals, which translates to different station layouts. Base on my personal experience at MacPherson and Chinatown, where the transfer platforms are close to one another, some of the train arrivals sync together.
Looks like a perfect concept! Very simple and straight to the point with just the icons in place.

In addition, when it comes peak hours, the frequency of trains may be shorter until one can get onto a train easily, just as the examples of the NSEWL transfer stations that you have stated. On the opposite hand during off peak hours, if one cannot get onto a train/bus that smoothly, this might take more than 10 mins waiting time. So I do not think an average of 10 min waiting time is sufficient enough for a disclaimer. I am not enough of a train expert but I would like to understand from your perspective whether my thoughts make sense.
Was this inspired from the elevator diagrams that appear at certain stations eg. Somerset, Chinatown? I will try and see whether I have the skill to do a replication.

I would strongly support the inclusion of escalators and lifts in the station layout so that people from all walks of life can find clearer and better barrier free access! :)
How would this turn out if it were a transfer station?

Update (8th Nov)
Map progress /Alternative Travel Method Upgrades
I did some tidying up of the notes at Bendemeer, Promenade and the future Khatib (with updated TEL transfer) pages. Apologies that I read wrongly few days ago, I realised you said that the average MRT waiting time is 5 mins. Since I can agree on this point, I have put it as a 3rd pointer for all 3 pages. As for miscellaneous pointers except for road closures, they have been tucked into the respective destination stations. See if this arrangement is neater for the eye.

Side note I do disagree with the bus part though, though feeder service waiting times are guaranteed to be less than 10 minutes, a handful of trunk services might exceed 10 mins of waiting time eg. 5, 14, 39, 58, 141, 169, 855 etc., in which some might offer just single deckers. Exceptions include 63, 65, 67, 190 where buses keep spamming. Considering the demographics of the towns where the stations are located at, some crowds won't disperse that easily within 20 mins if options were to include low frequency trunk services. That's why in the case of Khatib I made a special notice at the CBD destinations that if one cannot get onto 855 or 860 on time, CDS is last resort.
Nah I checked the Main Page, I don't have the rights to edit.

Others like Chinese Garden or Maxwell, where conditions are still ok, I do as per normal. Also, thank you very much for the 3/88/89/109 idea, which made much more sense!
Meanwhile I am getting some time to learn how to create a dropdown box

Re: Walking distance between two nearby stations
Thanks and Regards

Yes, I had also thought about walking between two stations before. Same had applied to walking from Marina Bay to Bayfront. However, my main concern is getting people to have a familiar sense of direction, especially those with poor navigation skills. Coincidentally, I had one real life experience where I once had tried to explain to an elderly person how to walk from CPF Maxwell to Outram Park where SGH is at, and it was extremely frustrating that I eventually showed the way under my guidance. That has been one tricky part, you know HAHAHAHAHA. As you know, Maxwell is one of those places with poor bus connections, not even one to Outram, so it has been something I had tried to figure out. I would consider it lucky that Service 80 was amended to detour around Cantonment in Sengkang direction, at least something to connect to Maxwell with a direct transfer!
Service information
The Bus Stop Info can be kind of misleading because of the Show/Hide Route Details. Some readers may think that those are the only bus stops, it wld be btr to use the Click to Expand/Collapse function to prevent this.

Nonetheless if we want to include walking, I think we can just elaborate with road names people are familiar with, since Maxwell MRT Exit 3 is right at the entrance of Kreta Ayer Rd leading to New Bridge Rd.
Why not try Show/Hide Full Route Details at least now they know they are seeing only the details partially.

Update (12th Nov)
Bring back Bus Service 222/222A/222B and Bus Service 282 will make the nesscary changes and if u can delete the redirects and move 222/A/B to 222.
Despite a lot of work to catch up, I made an experimental attempt to indicate walking directions for Maxwell and the new Marina Bay page. See if it works well.

Re: Walking time/Outram Park
Hi, how do we do the Green and White (G/W) Services, do they each get a separate page or a combined page
The reason for the decision on walking from Marina Bay MRT to Bayfront MRT is because it is a more straightforward walking route compared to walking towards BS03391 Marina Bay Financial Ctr to take a bus which goes further away from the flow and that waiting time for bus has to be factored in. And I put reference to Bayfront Stn Exit A as the nearest entrance, while indicating that if people see MBS in the distance, that's the direction they have to go towards Bayfront MRT.
Bus ads
Woodlands North I had a glance, though I realise I forget to add one thing for all Woodlands stations (I did that for TEL3 stations), that one can also take 265 from BS55309 Opp AMK Police Div HQ which has a direct sheltered walkway from Yio Chu Kang MRT to Lentor (unidirectional, not for return trip). Other than that, the rest of the estimated travel times to the other stations is good enough especially for Springleaf, Bright Hill etc.
Hi, regarding the new format in the pages, where are the ads? The advertisement column isn't there.

Outram Park to Raffles Place, seen explanation and understood, would agree 970 just passes through more direct roads than others going through Cantonment, where each red light per junction take at least 2 mins. Outram Park to City Hall, I have been mulling over removing 961/M in the first place since holiday variant does not provide a direct route, and 961/M is prone to the annual road diversions. So I am very okay with that.
Just to bring to your attention, the pages Former Deployments of BYD K9 and Former Deployments of Volvo B9TL (CDGE)
Outram Park to Pasir Ris, I would disagree. Friends from Elias area had at occasions told me when consulted that should the East West Line break down, their first thought would be going to Kovan MRT as an alternative. You may find this strange but Loyang Ave and KPE do have an equal share of peak hour congestions, though Loyang Ave's one would last longer due to the different traffic flows to/fro TPE and Old Tampines Rd intersections. Tampines East MRT would be much more suited for Pasir Ris East residents despite Loyang Ave's congestion, while Kovan MRT for Elias residents, that's what I could conclude from my findings. And you ain't wrong, 81 slowest takes 40 mins for peak hour, though it's half an hour off peak
Just to bring to your attention that the pages Former Deployments of BYD K9 and Former Deployments of Volvo B9TL (CDGE) are still around despite these models having been fully retired and all former deployments transferred to the main page.

Regards about autoblock
Bus Service Pages (History)
Hi.
I think that including the history pre-integration might complicate things and confuse people. Better to remove them and put them in a separate bus service page, then link those pages I hope it confuses people less.

I just clarify that while editing the relevant pages, I got autoblocked by 7343Bus. So I just have to wait for the autoblock lapses right? Just clarifying because I never complete the relevant pages that I just need to do. In case you need autoblock ID, the number is #21221.
Since
Removed it because it contradicts with the operator and current deployment info. That specific time frames are clearly stated in the former deployment section. Will revert them if you are against this idea.

Hi maybe can put it out there any ad updates, can just put on my talk page, because I am interested in the latest bus ad updates. And I do have a personalised mobile bus deployments on my phone then can update there as well.

White/blue UPD sticker
Hi,

The white/blue UPD stickers differentiate UPDEP buses between those under tendered contract (white) and those not (blue). This is exspecially a problem for UPDEP spare fleet, and buses in depots like AMDEP, BNDEP meant for Bukit Merah package. Hope this helps.

Re formatting of some svc fleet and all bus fleet pages
Hi I’m just wondering why is all bus fleet pages alongside some svc fleet pages completely changed by someone who's “destroying” sgwiki completely & thinking it’s his own personal website and this makes it annoying for us editors to edit things right now I really hope u do revert most of the old format changes back as editors like me definitely do prefer it.

Re: reformatting of bus service pages
Hi, I see why you and sgbustrain may want to reformat it to make information more easily accessible by displaying information about each bus service all on 1 page. However, by reformatting these pages, they basically show information similar to what other websites and apps display. They will just be like landtransportguru’s bus service pages, but with much less information (i.e. route length, travelling time, and many photos of the bus service), rendering these SgWiki pages useless and replaceable. Even if you still insist on reformatting pages to have a page for each individual bus service, I hope that it will also include information like perm buses, down routes, duty table, etc. In conclusion, Sgwiki’s pages should offer something different and not just duplicate existing pages. Thanks.

Rail Wiki Expansion[edit]

Hi Supernutorcrazy,

Is it OK to add info of train deployments (including TRNs and their sequences), acronyms legend and train fleet info (similar to what's done for buses)?
Data can be obtained from here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PMuCeF31etWzPv_U42qMaFoHvYwDpnkSWHgjvuuTxdg/edit
All data collated in the above document are based on spottings and observations from fellow enthusiasts.

I hope you will support us to make these valuable information more accessible to all. Thank you.
