Catherine Lim Poh Imm is a Singapore author, best known for her works that comment on Singapore society and traditional Chinese culture. To date, she has published nine collections of short stories, five novels, two collections of poetry, and several political commentaries. Her commentary The PAP and the people - A Great Affective Divide, published in The Straits Times in 1994, criticised the policies of the ruling party, in turn drawing a heated response from then Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong.
