Stansfield College
Stansfield College is a private education institution in Singapore. Established in 1993, the college provides diplomas and degrees, mostly awarded by partner University of London, through the latter's international programmes.
Description
The college was founded in 1993 by Kannappan Chettiar, a businessman, with an aim to provide diploma and degree courses from the University of London. Stansfield was originally founded as a private law school, but later branched into offering business programmes. Currently, Stansfield also offers diplomas in engineering (awarded by the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) and academic qualifications in English (literature).
The college was originally run as a subsidiary of the now-defunct Stansfield group, also owned by Chettiar, together with the now-defunct Singapore Institute of Commerce. The college became a private limited company in its own right after SIC was shut down in 2011.
The college's main campus is the fourth floor of Block 266 in Serangoon Central. However, The college was formerly located at Penang Lane, Middle Road, and Springleaf Tower (2011-2013). The law school had a separate campus at International Plaza for a period of time.
