SgWiki Guidelines
Hi, SBS3107H, apologies in advance if I clear the entire previous talk page.
As I realise that many are made unaware about their edits in sgWiki Buses section, I should come up with a draft of the sgWiki Policies & Guidelines that they have to follow. However, the previous bans that the admins did for offending members are made unaware of, ranging from Inserting false information, removing content from pages, etc.
Though sgWiki is a page where "anyone can edit", just like Wikipedia, it can, at the same time, be possible to abuse to vandalise, insert false information and so on where prohibited. Because these guidelines are not enforced here, there could be some members who would edit whichever is prohibited and got caught on by the admins.
Here's the draft proposal of the guidelines. If you have any further feedbacks, please post it on my talk page.

SgWiki Buses Guidelines
1. All deployment pages should be updated constantly without any errors. If there is any error spotted in the pages, they should be rectified or reverted. Unconfirmed deployments updated in advance which is not taken effect from the date will be reverted immediately and resulted in a temporary ban for first-time offences. This is to prevent the reflection of incorrect information in the respective deployment pages.
2. Do not make unnecessary changes to the table format (this includes the table in other bus-related pages such as De-registration of Buses), such as unwanted integrating of information or de-integration which can cause confusion to other users. The table should not be messed up in any form after the updating, such as the table alignment, etc. The integration of the "Notes" column (across all bus deployment pages) and the "advertisements" in the BSEP bus model deployment pages (since BSEP buses does not get any other advertisements as the mainstream production fleet) is acceptable.
3. Do not make unnecessary merging of any bus article or to merge a deployment list into one page. Doing so is deemed unnecessary which can cause confusion to other users.
4. For Bus Advertisements, it is advisable that the full naming of the advertisement be identified even before posting up. Necessary changes should be made to ensure accuracy. If a bus is already adless, it should reflect "N/A" on the Advertisements column of a particular bus model deployment page instead of a blank.
5. When updating bus redeployments in the respective deployment articles, users will also have to update the deployments by service, former deployments, the buses in depots and the spare buses.
6. When updating retired buses (such as lay up and de-registering of buses), users will also have to update the deployment pages, deployments by service, former deployments, the buses in depots, non-revenue buses and the spare buses (if any). The deployment page should not contain "Lay Up", "Awaiting Deregistration" or "De-registered" as it defeats the purposes since its not necessary to put up.
7. When updating newly-registered buses, they are to be updated in the deployments page. The registration numbers of the buses in the Specifications section in the respective deployments page, the Bus Lifespan Expiry Date and the Singapore Bus Fleet should also be updated. The admins will update the main pages of the deployments main page (i.e. SBS Transit Bus Deployments and SMRT Bus Deployments.)
8. When updating de-registered buses, they are to be updated after 2359 hours of the actual de-registration date of the bus. They are not allowed to be updated before the timing as the list will be reverted back if it is updated too early or before the stipulated time.
8. If a newly purchased bus is being identified to the depot where the bus is posted to, the pages should be updated accordingly, whereby the buses in depots page should reflect the buses based in the depots.
9. BSEP buses are not deemed spare buses. As BSEP is an exclusive or fixed deployment, the buses should not be marked as "SP" at all times.
10. For the History of Bus Services list and the relevant bus history pages, though they are not monitored closely, may have to be updated so long that the information of the service changes is taken effect at a particular date. However, false information on history of bus services may still be reverted if the changes were not taken effect on the day itself or no known changes within the date as concerned.
11. Do not add in pages directly from Wikipedia. In sgWiki, it is a one-stop information on bus deployments and bus-related pages. It is not meant for the creation of pages that directly mirrored from other websites such as Wikipedia. Pages that are created will be deleted without further notice. This also applies to non-bus related pages in sgWiki.
12. Do not create pages which are deemed unnecessary or redundant. For example, creating a separate page like "SMB388S" or "SBS Transit Service 50" is deemed unnecessary and redundant, since these information can be found in the existing pages. Pages that are created will be deleted without further notice.
13. Abandoned or blank pages (including talk pages of a page), which are not updated frequently, will be deleted without further notice. You may wish to ask the admins should you need to restore the pages for further updates. Pages that are previously deleted after a cleanup routine, outdated or unnecessary page issue may not be restored. Examples of pages which were abandoned before the deletion includes SLBP SP Buses and Scania L113CRL, which in fact, serves no purposes to be kept in sgWiki as it was deemed outdated and no one visits the pages to update/maintain it.
14. Bus photos that are not taken by you, should not be uploaded, except from the bus-related pages on Facebook which is widely available. If you upload other's bus photos without giving credits to the owners on the photo comments, or you do not seek permission from the owner of the photo, it will be deleted without further notice, even when the photo is in use in any pages.
15. Bus photos that are ineligible (i.e. a bus snapped with obstructions by any vehicles, trees, bus stop bollards, etc) should not be uploaded. Photos in such a manner will be deleted without further notice.
16. sgWiki is dedicated to Singapore Bus Deployments and not a means to create foreign buses. Foreign buses such as the KMB Bus in Hong Kong or even a RapidKL bus in Malaysia should not be posted up.
17. Do not start any articles on any bus enthusiasts. This is similar to the Wikipedia's CSD A7, on which, the article will be deleted since it does not have any significance at all.
What is Not Allowed
1. Spambots or mass creation of accounts.
2. Vandalism of any articles (this includes non-bus related pages).
3. Harassment / insubordination to anyone (including admins) on talk pages.
4. Deliberate removal of content from pages.
5. Inserting information that is pure nonsense, gibberish, unrelated pages which do not form any context within, or has no relations to Singapore.
6. Advertising of any services (these also includes spambot accounts involving the creation of such articles).
7. Deliberately inserting false or advanced information on bus-related pages (including trains).
8. Username that is not acceptable. If you are creating an unacceptable username and being banned, please create an appropriate username.
9. Posting of content or creating a new page in violation of the ban. Articles will be removed and the account involving the ban evasion will be banned without further notice.
10. Re-creating a number of deleted pages which is deemed unnecessary or concern was being raised which leads to the deletion of the article.
11. Creating information directly copied out from other websites such as Wikipedia.
The user committing this will result in an indefinite ban for severe offences (such as spambot, advertising, deliberate vandalism, creation of article during ban, unacceptable username) or a temporary ban of between 3 and 60 days for minor offences (such as inserting false information, unnecessary integration of tables, harassment / insurbordination, and this will depend on the number of false edits/unnecessary integration of tables being reverted back. A user would be banned if there is a large number of false edits/unnecessary integration of tables and an immediate temporary ban would be imposed for posting information not taken effect in advance).
Minor offences committed for the first time will result in temporary ban. Subsequent offences committed will result in a longer temporary ban or possible indefinite ban. Appeals for minor offences will be allowed but only those who are banned for less than 7 days will not be accepted.
If a user commits any violation through an alternate account, it will result in the ban to all-relating accounts.
