UPD stickers
UPD stickers are gradually coming back. You mind listing what you see here then?
Reply (23ispolo):
This table presents buses with UPD stickers based on cross-checking the regos with my memory, other than some unconfirmed buses from 145 (i.e. SBS5030G, SBS6222M & SBS8297J). There may still be buses that are not 145 perm anymore, but still have the white UPD sticker. Moreover, some UPDEP buses do not have either blue or white UPD stickers (e.g. SBS8770J & SG5544C), or have a plain blue sticker (which I did not include here). Otherwise, this should be accurate unless I missed out regos by accident.

Hi 23ispolo, I saw your table listing the UPD stickers on your talk page. However, I would like to say that I spotted more buses with the UPD sticker
White UPD
SBS8987B
Scania K230UB
SBS3027E
Volvo B9TL
Just a general question, will it be ok if I can edit your UPD table when I spotted more buses with the UPD sticker pasted?
Thanks

Hi Alphabetlorefan1,
Thanks for your message. Yes, it is okay to edit the UPD sticker table (section 2.1.1) if you happen to spot more buses pasted with a white or blue UPD sticker, as well as any buses with their white/blue UPD sticker removed.
If you have any other questions for me regarding this or another matter, you may message me here. Thank you.

Can I add in a blue sticker table? Those are UPDEP buses that park at BUDEP.
Reply (23ispolo):
Hi Kay,
Apologies for the late reply, and thanks for your message.
I am okay if you wish to add in a blue sticker table for UPDEP buses parking ONP at BUDEP. You can add this new table separately, or create a new row for UPDEP buses in the current table (section 2.1.1).
Thank you.

SMRT bus duties, 176
How can I add in a box for individual SMRT bus duties of dual-depot services, like 176? --23ispolo (talk) 22:23, 31 May 2014 (SGT)
I have added two tables under Service 176 section. Do add in the duty codes too. Thank you.
SMB1341U (talk) 14:20 31/05/2014 (SGT)
Thank you. However, I need to confirm some of the slots of the buses, like SMB1400H - SMB1402C and TIB544E. So, I will leave their duties under 'TBC', before I confirm their actual slots. But great thanks for your help! :)--23ispolo (talk) 22:32, 1 June 2014 (SGT)
Hi 23ispolo, do note that when you add in new box under a service, do check to see if the box fits well like utilising the space if needed to put into two rows rather than putting it all into one single box. As some buses have many slots, the shifts gets rather confusing with the bus under the slot. Leaving a huge colspan dash - for the saturdays and sundays is rather not necessary.
And also check to see if the box is okay if you do happen to use a mobile to access the particular service you have created a box for. As for some of the edits Ive done, Ive ensured that the box does not overflow out of the sgwiki page for that service as I was told from wikipedia. Cheers and good day!

Hi 23ispolo
Where do you find duty table for Service 31? What about other services?

RE: HGDEP buses parking in Sengkang West Depot
Hi there, SBS3720L here.
Understood there are buses like SBS3053D, SG5325T with RED stickers but from Services that are non sengkang-hougang.
As far as I heard, re-deployment of buses are expected.
Based on what I see thus far, seems to support the re-deployment theory, as:
- 6079K (64 bus) - On 159
- 6090B, 6147Y, 6237X (109/315 buses) - Spotted 2 consequetive days on 27
- 8119R (315 bus) - On 151
Will have to see in the coming Weekdays if that holds true, as the stickers were first spotted Saturday morning on various hougang int services (21 Dec)
Update: - Seems like clementi package buses are also being moved to Sengkang west, as seen with 6190X (156) and 3057T (147) currently. Although they are currently a mixture of red and non red tags. - 27 & possibly 329 moved to full sengkang west w.e.f tdy, as all deployed buses carries red tag. Only can confirm 30 of the 35 buses currently. Can only be denoted when extremely sure there are non red tag buses deployed on them. - Services like 102, 107, 112, 153, 161, 165, 325 are still doing dual deployment.
Cheers!
190 deployment
Hi hi,
Those E500 you mention are still on 190 on a regular basis. In fact, 190 and 176 DDs are interchangeable and 184 nowadays run flexi so it is common in place for random E500 cameo 184.
5026D was assign to a perm slot and part of 190 roster saw for 4 continuous day this week; 5032K rotate 190 and 176.
As for the SDs, yup indeed 1638P unperm 190 since 18 December 2024. 84T should be still 190 perm as very commonplace for 176 and 190 OCs to run 985. As for the GB sticker you mention, not sure but recently buses that cameo 190 have a lot, in particular SMB234C have been on same slot so could be a swap over.
HGDEP and BRBP buses deployments
Hi 23ispolo,
I would like to follow up regarding SG6176A deployment on Service 88 currently. The way HGDEP (AMDEP) and BRBP does the deployment and to determine whether the bus (e.g. 6176A on Service 88) is permanent to Service 88 is dependent on the bus duty it is allocated too. Usually, split duty (S-shift) buses are the ones that cannot determine whether that particular unit is permanent to that service, however, morning and night duties are likely to determine the current deployment since the buses allocated to those BCs are fixed and the duty slot would be specifically for that unit. In the case of 6176A being deployed on Svc 88, that particular day was rostered on a night shift duty schedule under BRBP's scheduling for Svc 88. I have been observing how BRBP and HGDEP interchange their deployment for a long time and I think this is the way they do it. However, this is just my speculation and 6176A might go back to HGDEP for 59 again, but I'm messaging this to inform you why I stated that 6176A is going to Braddell as I felt that I did not give a specific reason for shifting 6176A from 59 to 88, that's about it.
Another thing I would like to discuss on is regarding the current depot allocation for HGDEP and BRBP bus services on the website. I think it's best to separate HGDEP and BRBP buses into their own Depots again (e.g. SG0000 | BRBP 00). Before AMDEP closed down, all BRBP buses also had AM on their DDUs, which is the same configuration as the current one where BRBP services have HG on their DDUs as well. While BRBP acts as a bus park for HGDEP, it still operates independently and controls the existing Braddell services while HGDEP controls the previous Ang Mo Kio services along with some services from Hougang such as Service 101. If I'm not wrong, the reason why some services like 72 and 168 transferred to other depots was because HGDEP wants to bring some BRBP services into HGDEP and operate from there, while I won't disclose which services are likely to get pulled into HGDEP from BRBP side, I think it's best to still separate HGDEP and BRBP as a whole, otherwise, it would seem as if HGDEP is overloaded with services and buses. Anyways, I would like to hear from you regarding my suggestion, thanks for reading!

965/969 Crossover
Hi,
I would like to share my observation which can help you to aid in the crossover for 965/969. I noticed that 965 and 969 are more likely interchangeable rather than crossover. But it was limited. 969 is mainly A95 and ADL500 (3-Doors) DD (The ADL500 3-Doors are mainly perms) while 965 is ADL500 (2-Doors). There are days which ADL500 (3-Doors) (969) appears on 965/A, and if ADL500 (2-Doors) appears on 969, it may be from 965. As for SD, both share the same A22.

Sengkang West Bus Depot redeployments
Hi there,
I’ve looked into your redeployments page regarding SWDEP services. What I’ve noticed is that the bus services like 89 seem to be getting A95s temporarily from 161, not necessarily a permanent redeployment. It might be the same scenario as how HGDEP redeployed all the A95s to 117 from 161 during December 2021, and then during January 2022, the A95s came back onto 161. I suspect all of them are being redeployed temporarily, probably due to either manpower crunch or Volvo buses going for refurbishment. Other services, which has A95 fleets, such as 50, 117, 132 etc are also getting their fleets shuffled, with 132 seeing more Volvos.
I noted that some buses that someone claimed to perm 161, such as SBS7702M and SBS3921Z, were only seen consistently for about a week plus, after that they’re gone already. SG5605K also MIA, I believe might have returned to 50.

Editing suspected deployments — SBS6876B to 145?
Hi 23ispolo, can I add in a suspected redeployment?
Following the pattern of SBS6848H & SBS6854P to 145, I feel SBS6876B should be the missing bus on 145.
Thanks. Kay
Reply (23ispolo):
Hi Kay,
I would KIV this suspected redeployment first.
To my knowledge, there seems to be no information to suggest that SBS6876B has been redeployed to 145 (besides the other two lush green HGDEP Citaros thus far), and I have not seen the bus on 145 myself yet. Of course, if you spot the bus on 145 with a white UPD sticker, then the bus should be for 145.
That said, it seems that you are interested in adding to my suspected redeployments section. If you intend to do so in future, you can add in more suspected redeployments to that section above, as long as there is no irrelevant spam or severe disruption to my talk page (as seen in recent days by rogue editors).
However, I do ask that you be prudent with whatever suspected redeployments you wish to add in that section. I usually add in the suspected redeployments after seeing buses on those services for at least a week (if not just under a week consistently) and/or corroborating my spottings/deductions with spottings/information by other people. This is to ensure the information I put is more likely to be accurate, and not based on jumping to immediate conclusions (which can lead to false edits).
Thank you.

SBS3027E & SBS6848H 145 possible replacements
Since SBS3027E is still seen on HGDEP services, it it possible another HGDEP DD went over to UPDEP 145? My guess would be SBS3658J.
Plus, could SBS8293U also replace SBS6848H. SBS8293U should be a BM pack bus ever since SG1713H subsequently went to BNDEP 39.
Reply (23ispolo):
Hi Kay,
Regarding possible replacements for both SBS3027E & SBS6848H, I will answer your questions separately for the sake of clarity.
SBS3027E:
While SBS3027E did not transfer over to UPDEP (from HGDEP), I currently think that the "replacement" for SBS3027E is not another HGDEP DD (that was transferred over to UPDEP), but a UPDEP bus or nothing at all.
While you suspected SBS3658J as a possible replacement for SBS3027E that would have gone over to UPDEP in place of the latter, I believe SBS3658J is not the replacement for SBS3027E, but meant for another service in HGDEP. SBS3658J had its white UPD sticker removed last month before the transfer of buses from HGDEP to UPDEP, which makes it unlikely to be meant for 145. Moreover, SG5482Y technically replaces SBS3658J on 145, since SBS3027E swapped with SG5958S, which makes it unlikely for SBS3658J to still be (or returned back to) 145 perm.
I suspect that any "replacement" for SBS3027E is more likely to be a DD (or SD if downsize) that was already in UPDEP prior to the transfer of 145 to full UPDEP control. While I am not fully certain what bus this would be, I am inclined to think that this "replacement" is either a spare DD for BM package (e.g. SBS3282J, albeit in a sense) or a DD from another BM package service (e.g. 198). I doubt that a "replacement" for SBS3027E would be another HGDEP DD, since there is no information to suggest that any other HGDEP DD was transferred in place of SBS3027E.
Another possibility is that there is no "replacement" bus for SBS3027E due to a reduction in fleet size for 145 under full UPDEP control. Since 145 is now under single depot control, lesser buses may be used on 145 to optimise resources; having a single depot also reduces the need to have extra buses in another depot (HGDEP previously), which can reduce the total no. of buses on 145.
In conclusion, more observation will be needed to determine whether 145's fleet has decreased in size, and/or whether SBS3027E (/SG5958S) has a replacement bus from HGDEP or UPDEP beforehand.
SBS6848H & SBS8293U:
For SBS6848H, I have not spotted the bus on any service following the transfer of buses to UPDEP, so I am not sure if the bus is still in HGDEP, which seems to be your view. I will see whether I can spot the bus on a HGDEP or UPDEP service to double-check its deployment.
On the other hand, from my understanding, SBS8293U perms 124 and is still a Toa Payoh-Bishan (TPY-BIS) package bus at this point in time. I personally spotted the bus on 124 on 2 October (Thursday), after the transfer of buses for 145 to UPDEP. This means the bus should be in HGDEP now.
While I know SBS8293U was first 145 perm through a perm swap with SG1713H, this did not change the fact that it was/is a TPY-BIS package bus. In fact, the bus changed from 145 to 238 perm for some time before returning to 145 perm for the second time, and finally settling on 124 last month.
Moreover, SG1713H's replacement as a BM package bus would likely have been another K230UB that was meant for 57/131/145, but not necessarily deployed on those services in AMDEP/HGDEP/BRBP. This would likely be either SBS8395J or SBS8421S, the former being 145 perm before perming 129 and the latter being 31 (and possibly 157) perm, until their short stint on 145 last month prior to transfer to UPDEP.
Alternatively, SBS8417E was also transferred to AMDEP likely as a swap with an NL323F, but the bus is in SEDEP and has not been transferred to UPDEP to date. This means it was either not a BM package bus at all, or changed to being a Tampines or Bedok package bus prior to its transfer to SEDEP.
In any case, I believe that if SBS6848H is still in HGDEP, its "replacement" on 145 in UPDEP would be an existing UPDEP bus or none due to fleet size reduction. This is based on the case of HGDEP/BRBP buses (e.g. SBS6854P, SBS8851J & SBS8942E) which had white UPD stickers (supposedly for 145) pasted in August and September, but stayed in HGDEP amidst the transfer of buses to UPDEP, which means that these were "extra" buses to support 145 prior to the transfer of buses from HGDEP to UPDEP.
Conclusion:
I apologise if I am very wordy here, but thank you for reading and I hope you understand my points in response to your questions. If you have more questions regarding suspected redeployments or other things, feel free to write in my talk page again.
Thank you.
