Interpretation

In this Chapter, unless the context otherwise requires —
“author”, in relation to a photograph, means the person who took the photograph;
“editor(s)” refers to the user who edit sgWiki;
“owner” refers to the person who had exclusive rights in the materials or work(s);
“work(s)” refers to any work by other people, including (but not limited to) printed copy, electronic book, sound recording, images, audio recording, and videos.

Exemption

Any work(s) obtain from a public domain and uploaded to sgWiki was not considered as copyrighted. Such works are free to use, unless the owner of the works stated otherwise.

Any works from education sites, for the sake of educational purpose, that were uploaded to sgWiki was not considered as copyrighted unless stated in paragraph (6).

Rules

Any editor(s) who, at a time of uploading or editing contents that was not owned by the editor(s) with the exemption listed under paragraph (2), had committed copyright infringement. First time offenders shall receive a Warning Point or a temporary ban of no longer than 30 days or both. Second and Repeated time offenders shall receive a Warning Point or an indefinite ban or both.

Any editor(s) or user(s), who at a time of reading or browsing through the contents, notices the copyrighted materials owned by the user, could request for the copyrighted materials to be taken down. The editor(s) who at time of uploading the content had committed copyright infringement. First time offenders shall receive a Warning Point and a temporary ban of no longer than 60 days. Second and Repeated time offenders shall receive an indefinite ban.

All works that was uploaded or edited to sgWiki shall be credited to the respective owner if it was not owned by the editor(s). Any works that was not owned by the editor(s) which was not credited will be considered as copyright infringement unless stated in paragraph (3), it will considered as plagiarism.

(a)

First time offenders who had committed copyright infringement shall receive a Warning Point or a temporary ban of no longer than 7 days or both. Second time offenders shall receive a Warning Point or a temporary ban of no longer than 30 days or both. Third time and repeated offender shall receive a Warning Point or a temporary ban of no longer than 60 days or both.

Offenders who had committed plagiarism will receive a Warning Point. Repeated offenders will receive a temporary ban of no longer than 7 days.

| 7.
|
Any editor(s) who uses sgWiki to host copyrighted materials for the purpose of self-interest and profit is said to committed copyright infringement. Offenders will receive an indefinite ban.

| 8.
|
All copyrighted materials will be deleted immediately if found.
