His first role was in the 2004 film The Best Bet, where he played an illegal bookmaker. His first main role was in the 2009 "hor-medy" film Where Got Ghost, where he played a soldier on reservist training. He reprised this role in The Ghosts Must Be Crazy. More recently, Hong was the "keng king" uncle in the Ah Boys To Men duology.
