Re: About 828L and 829J[edit]

Hi TIB965Z.

Yes indeed, both buses have been laid up (aka awaiting de-registration) at their respective depots. However, there might be a possibility that SMRT is pasting the red logo on the exterior of both buses, like how I concluded back then where TIB904A was "laid up" as of 14 October 2015 but in the end SMRT pasted the red logos on the bus which was totally unexpected. I apologise for not being consistent in my editings, but I will temporarily edit both statuses as Spare Buses. If both buses are not going to be on revenue service in two weeks' time, I will then update both statuses as Awaiting De-registration.

Re:Editing enquiries[edit]

Hi TIB965Z,

Regarding to your quires about whether to list them in, I would strongly suggest so only if the BSEP buses had been on revenue service before like the non-BSEP buses. This is due to consistency work when editing after the "BSEP" rule for editing on sgWiki had been lifted.

Thanks & Regards

Queries about the new trial page[edit]

Hi,

Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer that we revert to the previous page for the trail Service 900 and 974/A? In fact, the new pages created had already show even more information like calling stops, length etc, and a common page for history and fleet information.

Thanks.

Since long long time ago, the purpose of the bus section of sgwiki is to show deployment. If one wants to see calling stops, length etc, there are other websites on the internet for that purpose. Now, where do one edit the perm buses of the service, where does one view deployment of the service? I believe that is the original intention of the wiki.

From a user perspective, people use wiki to see deployment, not service information. I suggest we revert to the previous format for service deployment.

Bulim Depot Ferry Service[edit]

Hi, regarding this subject, I definitely saw SG6293U do this shuttle because it showed “BULIM DEPOT” on the EDS. I saw it while taking 974, along a possible route from Bulim to Choa Chu Kang. Even if SG6293U is not a perm bus, it is likely that this shuttle is also controlled by SLDEP now that SLDEP is closer to Bulim compared to KJDEP, making it easier to deploy buses to this shuttle. Furthermore, SMRT could have just taken a KJDEP bus if there were not enough buses running this shuttle. I think it’s best to KIV this first and possibly put SLDEP as also in charge of this shuttle soon.

Thanks, LTA Bus Irrationalisation

LOL full of nonsense knn Soon lee don't even have enough bus at this moment until need to loan from other depot leh, why would ops team deploy a high capacity bus to even do this ferry service that will not even fetch more than 10 people (Highly likely) what you saw is just a one off thing.
