Introduction[edit]
A new set of Changi Airport Bus Services were introduced by Singapore Bus Services (SBS) and the joint Scheme B operators, namely the Singapore Shuttle Bus (Pte) Ltd, Singapore School and Private Hire Bus Owners' Association and Singapore School Transport Association.
At the same time, the existing bus terminal at Somapah, was chosen as an airport bus interchange for the new Changi Airport Bus Services operated by SBS, while the additional 5 Changi Airport Bus Services run by the Scheme B operators will supplement 6 existing Changi Airport Bus Services by SBS and runs during the morning and evening peak hours.
On 25th June 1983, SBS had revamped its existing 5 Changi Airport Bus Services by integrating together with the 5 supplementary services operated by SSB & Scheme B operators, serving Changi Airport and the Changi Cargo Complex.
