Hi, | |||
Thank you for highlighting the problem to me. I would like to stress to you that, I had no right to restrict any new registration of users, this also applies to any administrators as this is beyond our control. The past few years when we had an sharp increase in spambot and the owner of this wiki had to fine tune this wiki to prevent such an incidents had causes many users to experience editing and logging in problems.
I'm not sure whether you had noticed or not, the recently increase of new user, I believed is actually an old user who create multiple accounts. Their editing patterns are usually the same, and always edited usually in the same page. Under sgWiki Guideline, we, administrator had the rights to ban all of their account, but this move had strongly been condemn by other administrator.
There are an underlying problem in sgWiki Guideline is that the guideline are for experience users and not for new users. For this, you may refer to SBS3107H or Apex-LW'21 to see what can be simplified. You may also wished to start a Tutorial Page/Guidebook(s) to teach all new users/experience users on how to edit sgWiki.
The buddy system proposed are not feasible as not all new users will had a senior in the related field. But, however, as all of administrators had agreed that if there is any questions, the users may asked any users. With that basis, I will consider creating a Question & Answer Page where any users can ask a questions and an experience users will help to answer that question. That would be much more efficient.
Last but not least, I had no "Administrator Rights" in buses section as I more inclined to editing/in-charge in rail section. But this does not limit us to oversee the other section problems. Before starting a Tutorial Page/Guidebook(s), please consult Apex-LW'21 first and see his/her response.
Thanks & Regards | |||

I'm not sure whether you had noticed or not, the recently increase of new user, I believed is actually an old user who create multiple accounts.
