Point noted and thank you for helping to replace the "en dashes". The user who had initially replaced the hyphens with en dashes was user SBS3107H, and I am certain that he did that for a purpose and not a mistake. However, I admit that I was the one who standardised it across pages as it was only used on a few bus model pages of which the buses had active transfer of ownership at that time. Anyway, it is more or less a solved issue with the logical "explanation" provided by SMB315C...

Revision as of 23:40, 8 September 2016

Please do not remove this talk page without my permission.

I would wish to clarify that nothing is to be removed from my personal talk page, including the page itself by others without my permission. It is a wrongdoing as such as shown on [1]. If anyone is shown doing such things again I will have to deal with it according to guidelines.

Thank you.

Do not remove buses on lay up/repair/missing.

Please do not remove buses that are on layup, awaiting repairs or missing. Buses should only be removed from the lists when they are deregistered. This is in reference to your changes to the Enviro page.

This is especially so if the changes are unverified.

Add-on

Just {{N/A}} placed under the deployment row is sufficient.

Reply from my talk page [2]

Hello ASA1234,

Removing the buses from the bus deployment pages would actually mean that the bus has been deregistered, and the section header has to be updated to exclude the buses removed (ie. SMB5003U – SMB5025G, SMB5027B – SMB5030R...) however, that is not the case. All buses registered are to be included, whether or not are they deployed (just like newly registered buses).

Hope you understand and thank you for your contributions :)

Regards.

Dash

Hello ASA1234,

Why did you choose to replace the longer dashes (–) which has been standardised across pages with the short dashes (-) like in this edit?

Do note that it has been standardised across all pages, including the Bus Deployments pages and Singapore Bus Fleet page.

To SBS3602U, why not you read this article before asking?

Do not remove rego ranges where it exists

Hi ASA1234,

It would be appreciated if you do not remove the rego ranges for the pages. These are there to provide a quick reference for the users, and also as a standardization across all companies.

Saw your reply on my talk page, I still don't think that is a great idea as editors and users alike are already used to the rego ranges. Also, keep it separate from the company names as it will be untidy to put brackets in the company headings (the rego range sub-headings were there for this)
