The Bukit Panjang LRT (BPLRT) is the first LRT line in Singapore. The line is 7.8 km long with 14 stations, and is operated by SMRT Corporation. Traveling from one end of this line to the other end takes about 30 minutes.
It is fully automated, and the project was contracted to Adtranz, Keppel Corporation and Gammon Construction.
History
Initial System
- 6 November 1999: Choa Chu Kang - Ten Mile Junction
Service C
- 10 December 2010: Due to redevelopment of Ten Mile Junction, Service C was withdraw while Service A and B continue in service.
- 30 December 2011: After 1 year of withdrawal of Service C, Service C resumed its service when Junction 10 (former Ten Mile Junction) opened.
