Svc 162 Perms

Hi

For the Serangoon Downroute: Mon-Thu: SG1165P Fri: SG1101Z Sch Hol Mon-Fri: SG1147S

The first bus from Shenton Way is 162se409 (SG1082U) from Mon-Thu and 162se509 (SG3068Z) on Fri.

Thanks SBS2652G

sedep deployment

i board 5232 and 1096 yesterday 1096 on 265-se402... should be the 2A/9P slot.. as per wiki, there is downroute done by 9P during PM peak and this bus is definitely downroute as the bus was early and the BC was told to hold at Bus stop opposite Jubilee. (front bus and back bus are both A22, so should be some split shift bus).

5232 still got the 265 sticker.. it is not at the usual top part of coinbox..it is at the base of the coinbox.. duty if i remember correct is 265-SE-451 or 265-se-431.. quite special number. boarded at around 150pm.

edit 25/3: the duty number show 265-se-451.. not 268.. cos i am just sitting behind the BC... weird.. not sure what are the duty now... need to observe more. 1096 back to 2A slot these few days (same timing as 1781 previously)...

that KUB is 5220 with the new geniebook ad.

deployment is very weird nowadays..seem like too many SP buses and they just anyhow deploy 5232 on 133 yesterday 6585 on 133 today 6580 on 265 from mon to wed (today not sure yet) 6577/6590 on 265 today. 1133 on 71 today.

perm sticker

the perm sticker for citaros/KUB are on the coinbox (facing the BC). so if you are at bus stop, might be difficult.. unless when you board the bus and sit behind the BC seat..

might need to stand at the centre divider and wait for the bus to passby (this might be difficult if the bus pass very fast). for me, i usually stand near where the bus stop is.. and i also drive sometime, so easier for me to spot from the other direction as well.

Special Weekday Schedules

Hi Jonathanchu,

As the Special Weekday Schedules is always undergoing constant changes, I only update them with the latest information when available. Currently, this schedule is suspended due to COVID-19 and there is no extension of bus operating hours or holidays that warrant the use of this schedule.

Hope you understand. Thank you.

Reply: New front and side alert cameras on buses

Hi.

Thanks for writing in your observation. However I don't have any much knowledge on this. I believe these are being rolled out on the Tower Transit buses as well.

I will help direct your query to Ihengheng.

RE: New front and side alert cameras on buses

1) As the forward and side collision warnings are provided as part of the camera's functionalities and that not all buses have both cameras installed, listing the product names (T-FA/T-SA) should be sufficient like on the Yutong pages. This is similar to how the Mobileye 560/630 and the Shield+ are being listed.

https://www.tnts.com.sg/useruploads/files/T-FA.pdf
https://www.tnts.com.sg/useruploads/files/T-SA%20(CE8S8).pdf

2) For the BYD and Yutong pages, I separated them since the T-FA and T-SA are separate products (T-FA has similar functionality to the Mobileye 560/630 while T-SA has similar functionality to the Mobileye Shield+).

3) The DriveSafe (previously named I-SAW-U) system uses 2 T-FA cameras. The difference is that instead of displaying information on the individual T-Watch displays, DriveSafe integrates the camera and sensor data to provide an all-round visual display and controls the audio and visual alerts for the exterior.

4) The 5 DriveSafe trial buses as well as various MAN Euro VI buses under SBS Transit had Mobileye 630 installed initially. For some time these buses had both systems before the Mobileye system was removed. Currently, all SBS Transit buses recently installed with the T-FA and T-SA retain the Mobileye system.

Currently there are different variants of the T-FA and T-SA in use. Functionality wise they are similar if not identical.
T-FA variant 1 (DriveSafe trial buses, MAN ND323F Euro VI, MAN NL323F Euro VI, MB O530 Hybrid & Yutong E12DD):

T-FA variant 2 (BYD K9 & Yutong E12):

T-SA variant 1 (BYD K9, Yutong E12 & Yutong E12DD):

T-FA variant 3 & T-SA variant 2 (current):

As a summary:
Buses with 1x T-FA:
MAN ND323F Euro VI (Batch 2) & MB O530 Hybrid

Buses with 1x T-FA & 2x T-SA (1 for each side):
BYD K9 (Gemilang), Yutong E12, Yutong E12DD & all existing buses being upgraded currently

Buses with 2x T-FA (DriveSafe buses):
All 20 DriveSafe trial buses, MAN NL323F Euro VI & MAN ND323F Euro VI (Batch 1)

Hope this clarifies any doubts that you may have, feel free to reply if you have any more questions.
