The first official registered wushu organisation is Singapore Chin Woo Athletic Association (新加坡精武体育会), established in 9th August 1922, currently located at No.90, Neil Road.

In 2007, 85 primary schools with 812 students participated in the National Inter-Primary School Competition, and 82 secondary schools with 830 students took part in the National Inter-Secondary School Competition.
