Introduction
The TIBS NightRider Services were first introduced on 10th March 2000 and more routes were introduced on 26th May 2000. The aim of the NightRider Services is to provide a direct linkage from the downtown area of Singapore to the HDB heartland estates.
The TIBS NightRider Services were charged at a flat fare of $3.00 and commuters can enjoy free transfer to another NightRider services at a stipulated timeframe.
In the period of 2001, additional 13 new NightRider routes were introduced. However, the demand was not met and these services were withdrawn on 3rd December 2001.
