Introduction

In conjunction with the opening of the Bukit Panjang LRT line, the existing bus service network in Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Panjang was rationalised to reduce route duplication and to complement the LRT system on 26 December 1999.

172 Handed over to TIBS and and shortened to Choa Chu Kang Int.
176 Amended to Bukit Panjang Int.

700A Introduced between Bt Panjang Int and Temasek Ave (loop) as an alternate route of Service 700, operating during evening off peak hours on weekdays and Saturdays and throughout the day on Sundays and Public Holidays.
927 Amended to ply express sectors along Kranji Expressway (KJE), Woodlands Rd and Mandai Rd, skipping Teck Whye Ave, Choa Chu Kang Rd, Bt Panjang Rd and express sectors along Bt Timah Expressway (BKE).
