	Train services between Tanjong Rhu and Bayshore stations (Thomson–East Coast Line Stage 4) will begin on Sunday, 23 June 2024. Design

This station has a different style of architecture from other stations on the eastern part of the East West Line. It is designed with a traditional Malay roof structure and shape, but used modern materials such as steel beams. This is to provide a sense of identity to the area as it situated close to Geylang Serai and Malay Village.
