Eunos (EW7) is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East–West Line in Geylang. It was built by Okumura Corporation under Contract 303.
The station features a distinct architectural style compared to other stations on the eastern section of the East–West Line, incorporating a traditional Malay roof structure (Atap Minangkabau) constructed with modern materials such as steel beams.[1][2] It was intended to provide a sense of identity to the area, given its proximity to Geylang Serai and the former Malay Village.

East–West Line: Eunos by Erica Wee
The mural depict the historical development of Eunos, Joo Chiat, and Katong, areas with deep cultural roots in Singapore’s eastern region. Originally part of the Geylang Serai Malay kampong, Eunos is named after Mohammed Eunos bin Abdullah, a prominent Malay leader who championed the community’s academic and political progress. The murals also feature Chew Joo Chiat, a key figure in the area’s early 20th-century growth, and Zubir Said, composer of Singapore’s national anthem, Majulah Singapura, who lived in Joo Chiat Place. Together, the artworks honour the contributions of these individuals and the rich heritage of the surrounding neighbourhoods.[3][4]
