Punggol, alternatively known as Ponggol, is a is a planning area and a new town located in the Singapore's northeast region within the Tanjong Punggol peninsula. It has a land area of approximately 9.57 km2, and ranks 31st, 17th and 16th in terms of size, population and density. The town is located north of Sengkang, east of Seletar by the riverine boundary, west of Pasir Ris, and south of Johor Bahru via the maritime boundary of Straits of Johor.
Punggol is made of 7 subzones, namely Punggol Town Centre, Matilda, Punggol Field, Waterway East, Punggol Canal, Northshore and Coney Island.
