SMRT Trains
  • From Sunday, 14 November 2024 to 31 October 2025, Train services on the Bukit Panjang LRT will end an hour earlier at 22:30 every Thursday to Sunday (except Public Holidays). This is to facilitate the upgrading of the BPLRT signalling system, as well as the testing of the new and retrofitted Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) on the BPLRT network. Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) will be a cross-border rapid transit system that would connect Woodlands, Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia and is expected to begin service in 2026.[1] It will be the first line in Singapore to use both the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) denotation, with the MRT for Singapore and the LRT for Malaysia.

Rolling stock[edit]

The rolling stock will be similar to the system used in Ampang LRT Line, Malaysia and Jurong Region Line, Singapore. These trains will operate from Bukit Chagar Depot near Bukit Chagar station.
